Context

Major League Soccer is the top-flight professional soccer league in the United States serving 170 countries. MLS is also the fastest-growing major pro sports league in North America in social media engagement, with followers up an astounding 687% since 2013 with 25M+ tv viewers in 2016 +8% over 2015.  

Opportunity

With the emerging tvOS upgrades to Apple TV 3 operating system, MLS was looking to make improvements to their existing apple tv app that would increase adoption among new users to the platform and drive retention. The engagement entailed a 2 week proof of concept prototype and user insights session. I led the team that included, an Information Architect, an Interaction Designer, and 2 UI Designers.
